Chamber Welcomes New Leadership

 

May 1st marked the start of the Thurston County Chamber's 2011-2012 year with a new Board of Trustees.

 

This group of dedicated volunteers is responsible for establishing organizational policies, approving annual budget and governoring the overall activities of the Chamber.

 

They are active participants in Chamber committees, meetings and special events and can be easily recognized with their "Board of Trustee" name tags. Next time you're at a Chamber activity, be sure to identify one of these leaders and introduce yourself.

Meet the New Small Business Development Center Director

 

Please welcome Ron Nielsen as he joins the South Puget Sound Community College team as the Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

 

Ron has an extensive background in economic and business development. He has served as the Executive Director of the Okanogan County Council for Economic Development and the Center Director of the Okanogan County Small Business Development Center.

 

SBDC offers experienced counselors who provide a full-range of professional assistance to small business owners and managers as a free and confidential service.
